    Lehigh Gap

On this Fall Day, SHMBO and I tried to tackle the Lehigh Gap East Loop via the Appalachian Trail. We started at an elevation of 495' and climbed to an elevation of 956' before stopping and turning a round to climb back down after we found out that the Climb was going to get harder and steeper before reaching the top. The grade of the climb started at 7% then quickly reached a grade from 30 to 41% peaking where we stopped at a 75% grade. There we stopped, admired the view and started the climb back down.

Here is the view we stopped to admire @ 956' prior to climbing back down:

After back down at the bottom we continued on the trail and spotted the Moon on the Hill:

Lovely pics Tom, and gorgeous colours in the trees; you seem to have some impressive scenery in your locality

            That's not a grade, that's a wall...

Very nice quartet though personally I be inclined to lose some of the sky on the first 3. Something like this...
