    Hetty

....I've been looking for an opportunity to get some shots of Hetty for a while....a good looking specimen and a challenge for any focussing system
(note to self - switch to single point and focus on the head when using f2.8)

      Lovely, especially the first.

Not sure why you would want to shoot at 2.8 when there’s quite a depth of dog. Is it just for the artistic look of a sharp eye and the rest smoothing away or am I missing something ?

        Re: Hetty

Its just me not wanting the ISO to go any higher than necessary ....but these came in at ISO640 and 800 so I could have stopped down.

super looking dog and irrespective of the narrow depth of field the fur colours are great

                  Re: Hetty

Yes....it has a great deal of familiarity with enough added extras for it to feel new. The extra detail I'm getting is nice to have and so far all of my lenses seem to perform well...if not better.
