    Great Grey Shrike

Pleased to track this 1st winter bird down on Cannock chase as they are somewhat a rare winter visitor to my part of the world. The bird was very flighty and kept its distance so this is a bigger crop than I would have ideally liked but it was the best I could get and not sure how l long it will stick around.

Well captured Steve. We got one at the moment up on the Heath but it keeps to isolated bushes at a distance, no way can you close in on it.

Great Grey Shrike and stag aren’t generally mistaken for each other

Well done, we have one near us, but my only shot is a very distant one, they are tricky wee things to get a picture of.
