    Did you do a complimentary version with the picture sharp and the clock out of focus?

    How do you get on with your Sigma 28-70? I have one and it never seems properly sharp below f8...

      Thanks, Nigel. No, I didn't shoot it that way but it's a very interesting thought I have to say. The clock was a wedding present in 1933 and inside there's a small card with "You know not what you do!" written on it. My grandparents were married for 64 years and the clock ticked away for well over 40 of those.

      I took that photo in 2001 using an early Sigma lens I bought in the mid- to late 90s. I was impressed with it. You can see it here:



      At one stage I had a Sigma 24-70mm that would have made a good doorstop!
