                so the kingfishers had no taste - this is where they were landing time and again as it was at a perfect height from which to fish and once it had disappeared below the water last week following the heavy rain, they were only landing on the other side of the river in amongst the bushes and too far away and messy for shots. Given that they are not the easiest birds to find and shoot, you take what you can get although as you can see from yesterdays post there are now more favourable perches available

                  Cracking shot Stan, am so jealous, I have spent countless hours of late waiting for the KF's to land on my perches, all I get at the moment are Flypasts at Mach 2

                    I only found out about this location by chance a few weeks ago having seen shots posted on facebook. The silly thing is, I have lived less than a mile from the river for over 20 years and often shoot down there but had never ventured to this part of the river before
