    Orangutan

Taken in Chester zoo. I wish it had been taken in the wild...but that kind of adventure is out of my price range until I either retire or win the lottery...and I have not purchased a lottery ticket for many years. I watched her playing for half an hour or so (so many people run around zoos trying to see every single animal for a few seconds...I can't do that) and she played about with this branch. I got several shots of her from behind but patience paid off and she looked me in the eye.

that is a great expression The blown out area at the bottom is rather distracting, perhaps crop to exclude

Also ,,its been said many times, but uploading direct from your computer often degrades images so to show in the best light it is better to use flickr and link from there

Someone mentioned that Stan. How safe are images on Flicker?

The blown out area is a huge lump of limestone.

That is a lovely capture. I think I would have been tempted to crop some of the white blob (wall?) at the bottom and try cloning/content aware fill to remove the rest - as it is, it distracts the eye from the main subject, which does it an injustice.

safe as anywhere,I think and not a real problem if you just upload low res images - the ideal size to post on the forum is around 900 px on the longest size, so resize to those dimensions before uploading to flickr. I never upload full sized images, apart from anything else they take an age to upload

Excellent shot and the crop is a vast improvement.
