Council flats and houses on the streets of London.

I knew the location in a long time, actually every time on my way to the gym and back I was passing by it. I found the location to hold a particular value for capturing a good composition, so finally last Sunday evening I went out (something I haven't done in a long time) and photograph it.

I like that. Perfect contrast of old and new with great lighting.

I wonder whether it's worth losing the last house on the right to eliminate the flare from the out of shot streetlamp? Or maybe darken it down a bit?

    Either way

I like that also, looks if the tower block is a bit off the vertical - but no big problem

Nice contrast between the ugly modern tower block and the classic victorian terrace

Like that very much, Nikolay, great juxtaposition. I agree with Trev that because the tower block is so geometric, it would be better if completely vertical. But I know these things offend me more than most.

Excellent....the weather and light conditions add to the image...as does the more up market houses in the foreground.

Thank you very much for the positive feedback on my image.

I have photographed the scene in vertical format too, however I found the vertical composition more complete ad contextual - forming a very strong (informative about the area) foreground.
Do to the use of telephoto lens, my angle of view and location access (in relation to the object) was quite limited - hens the flare at the right side of the frame. I have the habit of not to crop my photographs, anyway I sort of find it not so bad element especially with my approach to street photography - caring an influence of traditional painting compositions and content.

I found the time of the year very appropriate for this shot, as even at late hour the sky still appears quite bright and detailed.
