    A gap of 34 years

I went to York recently and took this (Canon 6D, 35mm F2)

york 2018 by Stackman1, on Flickr

Then compared to one I took in 1984 (Canon A1, 35mm F2 {FD lens}, Kodak Technical Pan 25 ASA, home printed using a Durst 305)

Not much difference, but digital wins when the ISO goes up.

    Thanks for looking

Of the 2 photographs, I much prefer the film version as the towers pop in that version

If there was ever an advertisement to go back to film then this would be it!

I still got my A1, AE1 and AE1 Programme. All still in the boxes they came in.

I like the film response better honestly. As was said, the towers pop more and the detail is more vibrant. Interesting post!

They had better clouds 34 years ago. Also, I like the contrast in the film version better. The towers stand out better.
