    I have been away for a while, so it's probably about time I posted something.

              like the pose, looks like she may have been to cough up a pellet. Must have been lousy light to have to sheet at ISO 12800

                Very perceptive Stan, she did cough up a pellet, but had turned around and the pose wasn't as pleasing..

                The light was OK, but for some reason, I had accidentally changed the aperture to F10, hence the unusually high ISO. Still very acceptable for ISO12,800 though. I remember my early D60 and anything above ISO 200 was pants. ISO 400 was for emergencies only!

                    Good capture Colin, have spent many hours watching Kingfishers over last 12 months and have never seen the mouth wide open like that, unless swallowing a fish of course.
