If you go down to the woods today .........

You're sure of a big surprise -- and that what I got this morning when I decided to take a ride up to the Badger setts. This Lama was trotting down the track towards me. I know where it came from, the owner has spent the whole day trying to capture it. My turn tonight, I will let it settle then rope it. I do not want the thing in my woods.

An animal like that could cause lots of damage, so you need to capture it quickly to prevent some sort of lamageddon.

          Looks rather arrogant.

Sorry Colin no Pictures, but we got it. Parked the Quad in front of it Headlight full on. Put rope around its neck then the whole of hell was let loose. It went completely demented, kicking, spitting and at one point it jumped over the quad bike, but eventually realised the game was up. I'm a great believer in talking to animals whether its an injured wild badger, fox or deer or domestic creatures. I sat on the bike talked to it for five minutes and then led it across the field to its home patch and put it in a stable.

              Sooner you than me Trev.

I once got too close to a Camel and it spat at me with unerring accuracy from over ten feet away. Half a pound of foul smelling Evostick landing squarely in my face. I nearly gagged and it took around twenty minutes to remove the last of the evil, ungodly slime. And that was without any demented kicking!

Can well imagine Colin, not one of my favourite creatures. I once slept next to the rotting carcass of a camel while on an operation in the Yemen.
We went in under the cover of darkness, couldn't understand what the smell was but soon found out at first light.

                    Sorry about the Cornflakes Paul
