    Woodland Clearing

Just spent four days clearing (Flailing) an acre of scrub in my wood to form an open woodland clearing.. Open area for the deer to graze (I will grass it out) and also to let light in to encourage bramble growth around the edge for butterflies etc.
One of my hides can be seen to the left of the picture behind the leaning tree.

Expect some great shots from this hide in the future Trev, as long as the family do not want a picnic at the same time. Or will the table be a feeding station for the animals?

Phew, Trevor, I bet you need a couple of days rest after clearing that lot!

        Thanks David, Alex
David. - Picnic table had seen better days its now feeding the wood burner not the animals!
Alex. - Did it with the Flail, now put electric fence around it, borrowed six pigs to put on it, they are now ploughing it up and fertilising at the same time. Give them a week up there and I will roll it and throw some seed down.
