    Default Tyntesfield

    Looking back at the house.

Feels a bit muddy and lacking contrast to me. I would say the house front and path need to stand out a bit more and have more light to separate them from the background, something like this I feel...

The path being a dominant feature doesn't really work for me. Looking on Flickr is better I will admit but zooming in to the house with just a little of the path is a better composition - to my eyes at least.

Nigel & Chris - thanks for the constructive suggestions - so perhaps something a bit more like this then?

That works. Probably would have left the dark parts of the sky dark though...

I rather liked the original shot, but I much prefer the way it has evolved. Darken the sky a little more and you have a good wall hanger.

I like these threads where the image is developed by members suggestions....I think I prefer Nigel’s version No2 above.
