    A bit central in the frame, but I like the eye contact and the diffused background really makes the stag stand out. I may have taken a bit off the bottom.

      I don't mind central when the subject is looking straight at the Camera, I do agree with Brian though in regard to cropping a bit from the bottom, well caught

          Thanks everyone for your comments.

          I agree that a bit off the bottom would work but I deliberately wanted the face to be fairly central both vertically and horizontally.

            Great image, Chris. A square crop would equally have worked with the antlers on the diagonals but eyes in the centre does too.

              I would probably have taken a bit off the bottom but framing central is the way to go for me as the stag is looking straight ahead so you don’t need to worry about looking into or out of the frame
