    Ashness Bridge

    Another 'must take' shot from October's trip to Lake District. Just noticed that I didn't quite finish cloning out the lady in the bright red coat, having her lunch behind the tree just to the right of the stream,

                  'The' place for that shot, hope you didn't get too wet!

                  That's on my favourite 1-day drive round too!
                  Did you know about 'Secret View' just up the road from there - looks right down Derwent Water to Keswick?

                    I would be well happy to have taken that shot. Lovely movement in the water without being too milky ............ just right.

                        I think you need a new computer Peter. Those old ones that run on Calor gas can't handle the modern apps !!!
                        The bridge certainly looks better without the scaffolding we encountered a few years ago.

                        Yes I do know it Mike, I think it's called Surprise View.
                        It's also worth driving past it about another two miles and you come to Watendlath Tarn (NationalTrust)
