    I haven't got the hang of street photography, the people can add real interest, yet I find myself wishing they weren't there at times, yours are nice shots, I maybe need more practice.

    Unless you are very early in the morning in summer - maybe 5am - I doubt you could get anything free of people in Rome. It was supposedly quiet whilst we were there last week.

    Yep unless it’s 5am you are always going to get too many people on the Spanish Steps. Would look great with just a bleary eyed couple and a mangy dog.......

    Nice set Brian. Reminded me of our last visit to Rome when we went there for a day trip in April 2005. Unaware that it was the day of the Popes Inauguration. The place was packed with people you could not move, you Just had to move along with the crowd. I have a picture of the Spanish Steps although all you can see are people - thousands of them.

    Its amazingly popular....we had checked out travel reviews which suggested that Rome in February was free of crowds....!
