    Little Egret

Out with the tripod and gimbal set up for a test run to see how I get on, went to a hide where I knew I could get a sit down(still slowly recovering from surgery), this hide is a double height one where you are looking out across the marsh.

Nice first shot after the op, but I suspect that after watching Daytime TV, even a shot of a black cat in a coal bunker would be better.

Thanks guys, it's not a hide I use a lot, this was a pleasant surprise as I didn't know there was enough food in these isolated ponds, only on a high spring tide does the water get topped up.

glad you are feeling better and nothing like a couple of hours photography in nice light to lift the spirits

                      Re: Little Egret

Thanks guys, I am realizing even with decent light and a tripod, I still need a slightly higher shutter speed with this lens, having no image stabiliser is something I am still getting used to. I have also changed the focusing to centre average, which I think has helped with this type of "jungle shot".

I tend to use spot and aim for the eye / head with a fast shutter speed, looking good and glad the tripods working out but best of all you are getting better Heath wise.
