    Severn Bore Surfers

SWMBO and I got up ever so early today and drove up to Gloucestershire to see the Severn Bore.

Today was the only 5-star (i.e. big) Bore in daylight this year.

I have never witnessed it before and I have to say it really is impressive.

    These people must be mad!

Mad maybe, but it is still quite an amazing sight John.

It is amazing, never seen it despite living close to the severn for 10 years....you wouldnt want to miss that wave as a surfer.
Nice shot made even better by the surfey waving towards you.

Thank you chaps for looking and commenting.

The other aspect which surprised me was the size of the trees and other debris etc. that followed the surfers up-river at around 10-12 mph - you would not wish to be hit by one of them!

            Slightly ironic.....
