    Pleased to start the year off with a couple more pictures published, perhaps I should copyright them and I might get paid lol

              Congratulations on a worthy image published.

              However, you own the copyright and they shouldn't be used without your permission. If they have sought your permission, that was the time to mention your fee.

                  I have set my images on flickr for use as long as I am credited as the photographer, I did get a free copy of one of the magazines, when I was late finding out about it being published. I am happy enough to see them appreciated, let's not carried away here, my images are pretty good, but not that great that anyone's going to pay for them, should I hit the bulls eye with something special, then I may change to full copyright. I post them on the mags flickr site knowing they might use them, I think that's 5 now in the last 12 months.

                    Lovely shot of the siskin.

                    I tend to agree with your stance. I'd just be honoured that someone thought it worthy of publication. My best so far (let's face it, only) was the Springwatch Twitter feed!
