      Nice one Stan, is it a one legged bird did it have the other one up. If it had lot leg perhaps it been in a conflict with a pike or something

        This is just the usual male who is standing on one leg, first time i have seen him do that in 4 months of watching him

                  Birds do it for temperature control, they lose heat through their legs apparently so if cold pull one up into their feathers to reduce heat loss, nice shot.
