5d3, can I repair this myself?

The joystick on my battered 5d3 has come apart, the switch is still working, but it's making navigation and using the camera a little bit difficult.

I've bought a cheap ebay replacement, £3.99 for two, but not sure if I have the skill to fix it.

Bite the bullet and pay a professional or try and muddle through?

    James.

    Only you can decide...
.....I’d do it if I wanted to save time or money....if not then send it off.
What are the risks....glueing up the control and loosing its function maybe?

Sadly it's a pretty major dismantling, top plate, lcd and back to gain access.

I thought of trying to butcher one of the replacement parts to just glue it on.
