    Went for a walk from home and spotted this. I don't normally do wildlife, not up to the standard to post here.

    I think the title should be "You looking at me"

          An interesting shot, but the front of the beak is out of focus. I see from flickr you took it wide open at f/5.6. I almost always shoot at f/8 and often f/11 to extend the depth of field. Lenses also tend to produce better images when stopped down.

            Thanks for the comments.

            I was trying out the 400mm, I had taken some photos of Red Deer at the weekend and wasn't happy with the results. I took others at f8 and f11. The f11 is below, but the best expression was the one I posted. Even F11 the beak is not fully sharp.
