    200d Batteries Die Overnight

I've had a 1300d for a while and decided to upgrade to the 200d.

    Much as I like the 200d, it's got a fault that the 1300d doesn't.

Batteries go flat after 2 days of non-use. I've only had this camera 10 days.

I've even tried this with both the standard 1040mAh and newer more powerful (1350mAh) batteries and the same thing happens. Leave two days - battery dead.

My 200D didn’t have that problem.....it would hold charge for weeks.
if this is a new camera then I would have the camera swapped under warranty.
If not, then is it a genuine Canon battery?
Does the battery lose charge if taken out of the camera for a few days....that would tell you if its the camera or the battery at fault of course.

I have a 200D as a back up camera so rarely use it but the batteries hold up for weeks, if not months, so it would appear that something in or on the camera is draining the battery.
