    Not for the squemish.

    My first Brown Trout of the season & a cracker it was, plus it's surprise stomach contents 4 Newts.

      Now that is a good size brownie, nearly the size of a rainbow. Looks like it was caught on fairly light tackle as well. What did you catch it on?

          Lovely fish looks to be about 2-2.5 lbs plus (I’ll let someone younger do the mickrick conversions [emoji6]). Nicely captured both from a fishing and photography perspective. Well done David.

            Colin, you can just see the buzzer on its belly, not a deep lochan I was fishing but it was well on the bottom. Trev, not up on my Newts but think they are Common Newts.

                      I have lost track of how many hundreds of buzzers I have tied, including many competition winners, but I have never caught a trout with one. Probably proves the old adage: "There are flies to catch fish and there are flies to catch fishermen, but rarely flies to catch both!"
