    Re: Uploading images using Flickr

OK another try at getting this right (I deleted the last post) I use Firefox to get to the Flickr and I am using a Mac laptop.

When I click on the photo then the Share link, choose the Medium 800 size, and then the HTML button I get this code

    <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/122202983@N07/13775414895" title="fishermans chairs by Roger Chessell, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3748/13775414895_0036fcf5d8_c.jpg" width="800" height="494" alt="fishermans chairs"></a>

If I click on the Embed button I get a different code as follows but neither seem to work

    <iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/122202983@N07/13776907104/player/" width="800" height="494" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

Which code and which part of the code do I need for my post and are there any changes I need to make so that my photo will appear.

Please use simple instructions as I don't seem to be getting it lol

    Thanks

      Click on share this photo

Then click on the pin after selecting the image size from the drop down box on left.
      This will give you a code that starts [url=https://flic.kr, followed by [img] and ending in [/url}

      Result:
fishermans chairs by roger.chessell, on Flickr

      hope it helps Roger

Definately go for the PIN tab. The other sent me on a goose chase.

Was having similar trouble, but thank you, HerefordEOS for sorting it - I was clicking the pin before, not after, choosing the required size. Simply didn't work doing it that way.
              Cheers, Chris.

It is no longer a pin icon. FLICKR changed it yesterday to text of 'BBCODE'. By the time I post this it will no doubt have changed again.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on this. I know I would have been lost when going back to flickr.

Yes, many thanks for updates. I haven't posted for a while and have been utterly confused - just can't get the title under the image, or get rid of unwanted text - hints gratefully received. Copying exif is not so easy as in the 'old' Flickr - grumpy old woman, don't like change!!!

                            Thanks Stephen for posting that.

My Flickr does not show a pin after choosing the size, so I clicked in the area that it should be from your post and got a link that worked, but it had a lot of extra text that kept appearing next to my image. I was able to delete most of it and the image appeared alright - but quite a time waster - will keep trying!

I'm all of a sudden having trouble posting images in the forum, I have done it using flickr before with the "share" button and the BBCode and it has worked before but now when I try to post a box come up asking do I want to download this new thread, and gives me options to "save as" or "open"

Any ideas as is quite frustrating.

Having the same trouble - have tried posting on another forum and everything works fine from either Flickr or Photobucket so it seems to be just this forum - hope someone can find an answer! Also frustrated!!!
