    Traditional China

I tried so hard to get traditional shots, but everything is so new, it wasn't easy. Right out in the countryside for this one ............... in the rain!

      Re: Traditional China

      Yes, nice classic composition Colin

I have quite a similar shot of waterwheel and bamboo coracle from the Sapa valley, but it all looks a bit shabbier and irregular- maybe older? What struck me was that this was this was a working system.......we get used to things either no longer being in use or else made to look cute for the tourists
Canon EOS R5, R6 plus the usual suspects ......

Don't think Mrs C would have been too happy if I packed my Travel Fly Rod. Did see a few fish there though, but between the nets and the Cormorants, they pretty much had it covered.

Before I go anywhere, I mentally have a list of photo's I want to take and one of those was a Cormorant fisherman, in his traditional boat, at dusk with the brazier lit and the cormorant fishing. Alas, it wasn't to be. Wrong time of day and no fishermen about ........... so I took a consolation shot.
