    Nice one Stan.

I took similar shots from the new Tern Hide last week. My first shots of a Little Ringed Plover. I didn't know what it was until I checked in my bird book.

they are there every year and for a couple of years they nested right in front of the hide. They are such small birds , they are easy to miss, like yesterday one seemed to appear from nowhere and a few minutes later another one. The new hide, being closer to the lake edge does make things a bit easier and now you can get a reasonable size in the frame without as massive crop

That's a cracking image of a bird that's very difficult to get near normally.

                        Re: Little Ringed Plover

Colin that would be great, however I got a domestic problem in that my wife Sandra broke her leg in two places. At the moment I'm chief cook, nurse, bottle washer and everything else in between. So can't give a date, although it will have to be within the next ten days, normally I stay in the Forest overnight, but in view of the circumstances I will have to make it a day trip. I will let you know

I work part time: Tues, Wed Thurs. That gives me four days free if that helps your decision. Regards to and a speedy recovery to Mrs B.
