    I think you have cornered the market for good shots of Dartford Warblers.

    I mentally questioned having him central in the frame, but cutting off some Gorse from the left of the frame to provide a "traditional" composition just didn't work; it seemed to add tension to the shot. Sometimes the rules are just meant to be broken.

          Thanks Colin, Stan. Certainly seems to be a good year for Dartford's, not only down here on the East Devon Heathlands, but also in the New Forest I've been told.

          I did crop this at first cutting off the LHS of the Gorse, but it never looked right. I thought with the bird looking partly towards me and not completely out of the frame I would opt for this
