Nice shot from the classic Goodrington viewpoint
So far I've only seen the S160 standing at the coaling point at Paignton but it is an impressive beast and will be out soon to catch it at the lineside.
Incidentally, clearly visible in the middle of the beach in the photo is a stream outlet pipe. In 1993 it was, by chance, identified as having been constructed from sections of vacuum pipe that had been intended, before the 'caper' was abandoned in 1848, to be used in the Newton Abbot to Totnes section of Brunel's Atmospheric Railway. The pipes needed a slot along the top where the train attached to the vacuum piston and this was neatly (and cheaply) filled using redundant sections of broad gauge rail. The pipe sections were salvaged by the Great Western Society and now forms a display at Didcot Railway Centre.
