    Default Flickr Frustration

I'm on the verge of closing my flickr account, which means an end to posting on this forum. I haven't been able to login for over a week and despite several emails to flickr's so called 'Heroes' no one has bothered to contact me to resolve the problem.

Every time I try to login it asks me to update my password, which I do. It then comes back with a message saying access has failed and to contact their help centre!

If anyone has any ideas you have my undivided attention.

    Regards,

    Brian

Brian, I had this problem some eighteen months two year ago. In the end I closed my account, opened a new one and up-loaded all my pictures again. Flickr seems to be like a lot of other sites on the Net, they give contact details, but when you contact them - No reply is forthcoming!

Thanks Trev. It looks as though that's what I'll have to do.

I've had to do that as well.

I went through a lot of frustration, so I know how you feel, but I've had no problems since.

Hi Brian, I feel for you, I had a similar problem ever since Flickr did the big maintenance outage just over a week ago. I've got mine sorted now.

Are you still trying to log in via Yahoo ? ( Yahoo e-mail connected to your account ) if so you will never get logged in. You have to have changed e-mail and password details.

I requested Flickr help from help@flickr.com Just sent an e-mail with my login frustrations.

Hope i'm not teaching you to suck eggs ?

    regards,

    Glenn

Hi Glenn, thanks for responding. No you are not teaching me to suck eggs.

I changed my email address from Yahoo and set up a new password after they sent me a verification code to my new email address. A message appeared telling me I was all set but when I tried to log on I got another message informing me access has failed. I'm basically going round in circles and will probably have to follow the advice of Trev and Colin and start again.

    Regards,

    Brian
