I went down this cave many years ago with some friends. Much of it is an old, disused Roman mine just outside of Bath. We used acetylene lamps to light our way and all we could see was a whole load of black, with just a pencil beam of light in front of us.
I took this photo from a tripod, a long exposure and me running around light painting with a flash unit. It was only after developing and printing the film that we could appreciate the scene, rather than the pencil of light we were seeing at the time.
