    Juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker

    A lot of juveniles around at Holton Lee at the moment including a few great spotted woodpeckers

    Nice shot Stan, we got about nine coming up to the feeders with the parent birds at the moment, I know one pair nested in the orchard and another up in the woodland. One was being fed on the windowsill yesterday

      the woodpeckers come in to the feeders at Holten Lee all year round so thought there was a good chance there would be juveniles now and wasn't disappointed, there were at least 3 different birds, not quite as many as you have
