    Lava Lizard

    Hi all,

In April I was lucky enough to visit Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

I bought a better camera and tried to learn it as much as possible in order to make the most of what I knew would be some incredible sights.

Here's one of my favourites of the trip (amongst a fair few more).

Shot on a brand new Canon EOS M6 which I had to buy at Heathrow when I realised my other camera had a problem with the sensor 20 minutes before boarding.

Not perfect by any means but in mitigation I'm very new to 'proper' photography and had to quickly learn this camera as well. But I'm proud of it and it's a perfect reminder of an amazing trip.

Great shot Andy, have you considered a slight lift of the shadow, might bring it out a bit

Nice Image Andy - SWMBO and I went there for my 60th (10 years ago) - the Galapagos Islands are the most wonderful place I have ever been. I hope to go again before I am too ancient.

It’s an amazing place and you can get close to a lot of the wildlife. I would absolutely recommend it.

That is a dream location which unless I win the lottery will remain a dream

You did well with a new camera but such a shame the light was so harsh
