    Coventry Cathedral

I went on our annual tractor club day out yesterday, which took in the Coventry Motor museum and the Midlands Air museum.

Between the two, I sneaked in a visit to Coventry Cathedral, a place I had never been to before.

I am not a fan of modern Church buildings at all, but the Baptistry window is stunning and makes the Cathedral well worth a visit.

Agree with you there John, its a while since I was at Coventry Cathedral but its a bulilding that I liked.

Good Pic, I can see the benefit of having the lines in the floor leading to the window but I’d loose a bit more of the foreground and the roof to give the window more emphasis, what do you think?

Thanks for commenting Ian - I toyed with the idea of closing in on the window because, as you say, it would bring it into increased prominence.

Eventually I decided that the foreground gave a better feel for the size/scale of the window, which is monstrously large.

However, I attach a crop which lies between the two!

I like that John, its a better balance between the window and its placing in the Cathedral

That is a magnificent window John, your shot does it justice.
