    Squabbling starlings

Having a play with the EOS-R on action pics and the target was the starlings ferociously arguing over the remains of the fat balls in the garden. Set it on max frame rate so it only focuses on the first shot. I used the centre horizontal area for selecting the fat ball holder. The camera is set to the FV mode all the time as I find that the best one to use. The shots below were selected as the best posed from the string taken. I would say that a higher shutter speed would have helped freeze the action a bit better.

Shutter speed looks to have frozen the action pretty well to me, a bit of movement in the wingtips is fine

The action looks fine, maybe just drop the shadows a little bit on photoshop(or similar).

You have the action very well but Im afraid feeder shots do nothing for me

Good action shot - I would love to see a Starling at my feeders!

Thanks for looking and the comments everyone, appreciated.

I have now limited the fat balls to three a day as they are rapidly demolished between the actions of the sparrows and starlings!

The camera looks to have done a decent job on capturing the action , would lift the shadows a little to try and show more detail in the bird on the right
