    Well, of course I was going to shoot it... it passes my garden so rude not to

    Oh, I have asked Network Rail to cut back the buffer beam-blocking rape so it should be clearer for when the Torbay Express starts later in the month.

            When we bought this house friends (and even strangers have wandered into the garden) have admired the view but some even said "all you need to do now is get the railway closed" WHAT!!!! Not a chance! Even though most usage these days is of the dull Sprinter/Class 800 multiple unit variety and frequent night maintenance can disturb, I wouldn't have it any other way for those now rare occasions when a diesel hauled excursion or engineering train passes and then we have the summer steam...
