    Immature Gannets

    I love the changing colour of the immature birds as they moult out out their dark feathers over a 5 year period

    Lovely shots. I love the Gannets. The third one is my favourite as I like the diagonal composition.

      Lovely Gannet shots Steve and like you, I like the immature ones. The four year olds I like best, where they just have a few black feathers on the trailing edge of their wings ......... it looks a bit like a piano keyboard with mostly white and some black keys.

                Much prefer to see and shoot the immature birds. so much more interesting plumage. Yet to be there to see a first year one where they are almost all black
