    Windows/SD card import discrepancy

I was out taking pictures, yesterday, and when I got home I let Windows import my new files from my SD card, through the card slot on my laptop.

I specifically noted taking two photos, in quick succession, and saw them both flash up on my camera screen. After Windows had imported the files, I opened that new folder that had been created and looked for the two photos. To my amazement, Windows had only imported one of the two files in question, I then opened my SD card and found both files!

I decided to see if it wasn't just one file that I had missed by manually copying files, from my SD card, and placing them in a new folder. I then checked the number of files in the Windows created folder and compared that with my own results. It wasn't just one file, there were three more files in my newly created folder compared with the one Windows made.

Has anybody had this happen to them and is there a solution to my problem? Any suggestions welcomed
