    Lens selection advice please

SWMBO and I are off to the 2019 Fireworks Championships at Plymouth in August.

We shall be viewing from the Hoe/Citadel/Maderia Road area - has anyone else done this and can give advice on suitable lenses?

Looking at the distances and imagining the likely spread of the fireworks, I suspect the 16-35 is the lens for the job, but would welcome any other views/guidance (especially whether the 24-105 would be suitable).

John We went a few year back and I used my 24/105 and I found it OK. We were standing by Smeaton's Tower on the Hoe. It might be a good idea if you have it a 200 or 300 to pull some of the displays in if you wanted.
Dress warm it can get quite cold there standing around at night.

Trev - thank you for your helpful reply - I shall take the 24-105 on the camera as the workhorse and pack the 70-300 as an option.
