                I did notice the tail feathers Brian, but why should that make any difference to the shot, it's a wild bird, their feathers get ruffled, same can be said of other creatures - butterflies etc. their wings can be damaged - why should it make a picture inferior. I suppose if you want the perfectly groomed creature then you go to one of these centres where they have captive birds etc. However, that to me is not wildlife photography -- Your Buzzard is.

                  Two cracking images Brian , I agree with Trev and most of the birds I am likely to shoot over the next month or so will be scruffy due to the moulting but hey ho its wildlife.

                    Thanks Steve. I too agree with Trev. It was just an observation. With wildlife photography you don't get to choose and have to go with what's in front of you.
