    L&BR - Now in Colour!

It really was a miserable day when I dropped into the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway at Woody Bay as can be seen from the sky (it started raining just as I left). The conditions and subject matter lent themselves well to mono and some have already been posted in the B&W section but so photogenic is this lovely little railway that colour also seems to work.

Even single shots of this type I generally start my processing in Aurora HDR 2019 as the presets available give me the kind of drama I look for. 2019 is far superior to 2018 but I can't say I like Luminar 3 - especially the appalling and massively disappointing database which means I still use LR for cataloguing, final polishing and exporting.

Good work John - for me at least, the last is the best 'cos it's a steamer!

What a great set John. Somewhere I've not been for over ten years, must try and get back up there

                Thanks folks

I agree the steam is the winner but I also liked the second and third as they have a 'model railway' quality to them.

                Cheers,

Good set, the last has it for me, it's a cracking shot, though I would clone out the modern sign on the post and the modern plastic covered bales

Thanks Paul and I agree about the bales and sign both of which I was aware of and considered cloning out as they offended me too but didn't think I could do so seamlessly.

This image taken at the same time (and already seen in B&W) needed only the cloning out of a distant passenger so has more of a timeless nature:
