We were watching a Imparla giving birth, when from nowhere this
lion appeared and helped itself to the new born

I rate the Hyaena has the most despicable creature in Kenya

Early morning - we were watching a family of Warthogs when this
Leopard came strolling down the track, so it decided to have one for breakfast!

I took this shot just before the whole of hell was let loose and we had one
of the worst thunderstorms I've ever seen in Kenya in all the times we've been there.
    However the light was magical

Superb Trev and bring back some happy memories of my trips.

I echo your thoughts on the Hyenas. All credit to them for being the survivors they are, but to me, they are the Chavs and ASBO's of the Savannah.

Great set Trev, if I had to pick a favourite it would have to be the zebra shot.

Great set, Trev. As others have said, the zebra shot stands out for me. But I do think the hyena is unjustifiably vilified when it is actually an intelligent and socially complex hunter, and an essential part of the ecosystem. But each to their own.

Thanks everyone for looking and your comments. Re the Zebra shot, I have never seen light like it, it lasted no more than a few minutes and was almost like it was artificial. We met some people a few days later who were unknown to us at the time in the same area and they commented on it.

AlexR! Fully agree with you, its just I don't like them, but you are right.

Agree with the others, that zebra shot is really good, (maybe could have done with a tiny bit more room at the bottom though)

Thanks John, Agree however there was a rather unsightly bush in the foreground that I could not clone out - so it was a case of Crop
