A chap I follow on Flicker has recently been using. 90D as a move from his 7D mk II. On the surface, the shots looked good but if you zoom in the focus isn't there - its not sharp. It may be that he's not dialled in the micro adjust but the quality is definitely not the same as the work he did with the mk II, so much so that he went back to posting images then with the 7D rather than the 90. His more recent shots are with the 90D and back to his usual standards so it seems he's dialled it on now.See this as an example - https://flic.kr/p/2ijJNW6

Based on that I'd say it's a pretty good machine for photos but as Alan says, lacking somewhat in the robustness stakes.

I mentioned in a previous posting that I know someone that got the 90D, He came up to photograph the Badgers, I've since seen him again and he is more than disappointed with it. His main criticism being the focus at the long reach of the lens. He said he's now gone back to a 7D Mkll, he got a good deal on a new one.

Did he try MFA on the lenses?

Andy, I don't know, he just rubbished the camera, as I said he's gone back to the 7D Mkll. He's coming on one of my bird watches next week I will ask him
