    Re: Scarborough

That’s not the image I was expecting, your composition is both unusual and at the same time very strong. Well captured Bill.

      Re: Scarborough

That is an unusual view of the town in the distance framed by the bridge and the hotel. Nice colour and detail too.
You could probably make a square crop taking LHS off to the lamp post and RHS to the left of the plant....might make it stronger?

Like that, shame about the street furniture but you can't always have everything the way it should be...

Well spotted and nicely composed with the bridge framing the town. I'd certainly experiment with taking at least the big sign off the lhs.

            Re: Scarborough

That's really good! I like the composition and the exposure/processing is spot on to get a good balance of shadows under the bridge and brightness of the town

I agree the modern street furniture is a problem but I think cropping to remove the lamp post would be a mistake. I'd be inclined to crop the sign but clone/content aware fill to cover the lamp post. Still a very good and original image though.

            Cheers,
            John

I like that better now, Bill. I had thought it was just about removing clutter but it really opens up the view of the tree and grassy bank.
