    Re: Ilam Hall

A really nice set with a combination of old fashioned travel programme and model village to the look (if that makes sense!).

The couple in the deckchairs adds so much to the atmosphere (and this is the travel prog feel I referred to) while the games in front of the church being the model village. I like the idea of the teashop sign and it being the only part in focus (but if shot at 24mm would you have avoided clipping both church and sign?). Nice use of DoF with the bunting with a good message. The church needs the verticals sorted.

Yes, I do like this set.

    Cheers,
    John

      Thanks for your comments John,
Yes I should have taken more time on the one with the sign.....with more width available in the zoom or taking a step back would have allowed for better vertical correction and cropping.

Nice set Brian, not been to Ilam for years. Bet it is not a quite place as in the 70's for a weekend ride through Dovedale.

Really nice set, Brian, and John said everything I was thinking (only more eloquently). Like the processing which feels just nicely 'painted' if you know what I mean.
