    Mealasta Beach Long Exposure

Sorry if I seem to be posting lots of images but I'm struggling with the BB Codes from Flickr. When I copy the whole of the Flickr BB code the forum gives a message saying it is an invalid file type!

I'm experimenting on which portion of the BB code is acceptable for use on the forum. Any suggestions on what is the required content of the BB code?

Here's a LE from Mealasta Beach. That's assuming I get the correct code

      Hi Colin
Thanks for that, whilst you were responding I've was just posting a thread in the "Forum feedback" section, explaining the issue that I'm having with posting images here.

I do get there eventually but it does frustrate my ageing grey matter

I really like that....abstracting and graphic in nature it captures the enormity of the sea.

I hope your upload problem is sorted now.

I like that and it works particularly well in a square aspect. There is something frustratingly familiar about it that I can't quite put my finger on; perhaps it's the aspect but I'm thinking record sleeve?

Whatever it is it's a nice piece of LE derived abstract that would look good framed on a wall.

                  What were the settings used?

                  Cheers,
                  John

Hi John, sorry I can't help about your "familiar frustrations". However I can help with the exif:-

                    ISO 100, f13, 40 seconds. 5D mk3, EF70-200 at 135mm.

Filters used, Circular Polariser and a ND which could have been a 3,6 or10 stop, sorry I cant be more specific regarding the ND but I was interchanging them during shooting. I suspect as this frame was one of the last ones that I had a ten stop on, IHTH.

Thanks for all of your comments gentlemen and the tips for posting images via Flickr, I've yet to try them out. Though if I get time today to do some processing I shall attempt too post something from my trip to the Outer Hebrides.

At first glance, not looking at the sand, I thought this was an intentional camera movement shot rather than long exposure.
Really simple looking shot and very effective.

Brian it’s on the Isle of Lewis, on the west coast, a bit south of Uig.
The road ends just beyond the beach
