I had a trip to York last Wednesday photographing the Minster, National Railway Museum etc. With the express purpose of capturing an image of the Shambles after sunset. Capturing images of this street is quite challenging given the number of people who were traipsing through it. One passer by who spoke to us said the best time to get the street without people in it would be between 02:00 and 03:00 I may have to give it a go!
Some of the people in the street may have been visiting a shop at the opposite end from my camera position which; it seems may have something to do with a certain Harry Potter but don't quote me on that.
#1 The Shambles, I waited for the street lights to illuminate at about 19:35 for this image. As I finished a Ghost Walk entertainer was walking towards me but as I already had loads of images with ghostly figures in them
#2 The shop I made reference to, can anyone confirm the J K Rowlings presumption of mine?
