Hi, did you use a polarising filter?

Chris, nope do not possess any filters yet, still trying to get my head around all the different types.

For a basic filter system, all you need is:

A set of +1, +2 and +3 stop neutral graduated filters - keeps detail in the sky for landscapes.

A Polarising filter - to enhance the clouds/sky and get rid of unwanted reflections.

If you want to get a bit arty, you can add a +6 stop, or +10 stop neutral density filter - very slow shutter speed for milky water, or moving clouds.

Not sure you’d need three nd grads in a ‘basic’ system. I’ve just got +3stop but with hindsight, maybe +2stop would have been a better choice. I have polarising filters but don’t really use them much. I use the 10 stop filter a lot.

I have been through this on a previous thread, but with so many different sized diameter lens I struggle to understand what I should get. Thanks for the advice Colin & John.
