Lyveden New Bield. by Ian Wheatley, on Flickr
Taken on a recent trip to Lyveden that was the home of the Tresham family. Situated near Corby in Northamptonshire. Sir Thomas was a staunch Catholic and his son died in the Tower after being implicated in the Gunpowder Plot. Sir Thomas died in 1605 and Lyveden was never completed. It stands as it was left over 400 years ago. testament to one families faith. Well worth a visit, its now owned by the National Trust. Comments welcomed. Regards, Ian W.
