Faster than a ray of light.....

.... these little beggars will NOT stand still and pose in a well-lit place, so you have to take what you can.

A heavy crop I'm afraid, but I quite like the alignment of the light beam with the bird's body.

    I like that John.
I was somewhat amazed when you said in your last post that this was the first Nuthatch you had seen in twenty years.
Not bragging but they are two a penny in my garden - what is our surroundings, woodland, open country etc.

Thanks Trev - we have open fields, big hedges, quite a few large trees in the garden, woodland not too far away - so I have also been surprised at their absence - I guess the one who is rapidly becoming a regular visitor is a youngster who has been pushed out of the parent's territory and has been sent off to find their own way in the world. Long may it continue!

Sort of the same as me, only we are completely surrounded by woodland and scrub/heathland then open fields.
Don't feel too deprived, we've never had a Starling, Collard Dove and only once have we seen an House Sparrow.
