#'1/2/3 seem under-exposed to me, and #4 needs an ND grad for the sky. #2 as a pano would give more of a sense of speed, I think.

Hi Zed1,
Returning a favour. #1+2 best for me. I suspect this type of subject is always going to have alot of water in it. Cropping could therefore be important - if poss keep the spray in #1 as some variation in the textures would help and give an indication of speed and action. This might also be enhanced if there were more than one in the shot giving an impression of competing. If these are records of styles and designs I have to profess ignorance!

Yep, the exposure is much better than in original shot #1.

Yes - for me. And I keep hearing a composition 'rule' that 3 in the frame are better than 2!
